According to Strategy Analytics, 1.5 billion Flash Lite enabled handsets in the next 2 years!
“Cumulative shipments of Flash Lite enabled mobile phones reached 800 million during the third quarter of 2008, and growth is showing no signs of slowing. Over the next two years a further 1.5 billion Flash Lite enabled handsets are expected to be shipped as support continues to grow from handset OEMs, mobile network operators and, perhaps most importantly, the developer community. We have revised our historical data and increased our forecast significantly based on fresh data from Adobe combined with expectations that the Open Screen Project will attract more developers as it provides a consistent rich runtime environment across multiple device types.”
