If you are looking for ideas for Flash Lite mobile applications or games take a look at the S60 site. They have an interesting section where they showcase mobile content either applications or games. There are games which have 1 million downloads or other available for 250 Java enabled phones. Really impressive!

Nokia forecast 3Billion mobile phones by 2008. Two years in advance of previous predictions. This is cool for Falsh Lite since Nokia is the major supporter of Symbian S60 platform for smatphones.

Fabio from Elastech flashmobile.it emailed me regarding an upcoming Flash Lite application to prepare for “MACROMEDIA Exams and preparation QUIZ”. This is cool idea, having a mobile application to prepare for exams. The first release of the application will concern Flash 8 Developer and then other products such as Flash Lite, Flash Media server etc…

Another great presentation from Bill. This time we had a preview of the the upoming Flash Lite 2.0. The player will be available from Adobe Labs in January with documentation, articles, a WiKi discussion and an update of the emulator to test Flash Lite 2.0 content. Today Bill showed in “1 minute” how to play a 3gp video on his phone. Really great stuff. I am wondering how long it would take the same test with J2ME or C++!!! Falsh Lite 2.0 offers great potential for really cool content.

Scott spotted a great article regarding the new Series 60 browser technology. Really cool mobile technology. Also this browser will be stardard on high end Nokia smartphone, and it’s capable of installing new plug-ins including Flash Lite !!

Following some of the links, I found this review of the upcoming Nokia N80 on AllSymbian and reading the review I found this: “Flash Lite also looks set to become a standard part of S60 and the N80 will be one of the first handsets with Flash Lite (1.1) supported out of the box. Flash Lite is becoming an increasingly popular solution for creating small micro-apps. These range from small games to front ends for displaying data retrieved from the Internet, such as weather or traffic information, dictionary look ups and news headlines. Flash Lite 1.1 brings several improvements include support for SVG-Tiny playback and additional audio and ActionScript support. Nokia see Flash Lite as a way of leveraging the Macromedia developer base, and Macromedia see it as a way of extending their reach into the mobile space. For the end user, it means a great variety of graphic and animation rich applications. It is likely that operators will use this for delivering services directly to the phone, as it is being pioneered by 3 in Italy and T-Mobile in the UK.”

Just found this theme developed in Flash Lite: miniTheme SnowXP 2.

Seams a cool idea but not sure how it works. If is a standalone application is just cool screeshots. Or it’s a real theme for the phone ? In this case there is no Flash Lite for replacing the Theme of the phone. Maybe it’s a wallpaper, in which case you would need Flash Lite for wallpapers. Any ideas?

Via Ivan, I found this Flash Lite application, S-Mobile, developed for the Motor-show event in Italy. It’s basicly a branded guide for the Motor Show event sponsored by the auto maker Seat. Pretty cool application.

If you are looking for a SIS Builder for your Flash Lite application, Symbian release an alpha version of SIS Builder. It integrates with Eclipse. Did not play with it yet !

“This tool allows a developer to generate a SIS file using a graphics interface based wizard. It currently supports Symbian OS versions 7.0 – 8.1 (not 9.x) and it is based on the Eclipse Rich Client Platform. This is an “alpha” version for testing purposes.”
