Here is my Flash Lite Friday Digest #14

Interesting article here about Flash Lite, seams Flash Lite is gaining some press! Also at Nokia World there were several companies showing Flash Lite content, Mobile Entertainment Factory showed some wallpapers and also Refresh Mobile winning the award Developer of the Year for Mobizines, check it out.

• Flash Lite company: new Flash Lite company on the block: Kuneri. Check the list here.
• Flash Lite enabled phones: Nokia 6086, Nokia 6290 and Nokia 6300 are Flash Lite 2 enabled phones.
• Flash Lite blog: new Flash Lite blog, Dimitri from Russia. He posted a couple of Flash Lite 1.1 wallpapers

The most important news of the past couple of weeks was that Adobe released the Flash Lite 2.1 player for free to developers for Symbian and Windows Mobile 5.

The Flash Lite 2.1 player for Symbian devices supports the following Nokia phones.

• Nokia S60 3rd edition: E50, E60, E61, E62, E70, N71, N72, N73, N75, N80, N91, N92, N93, 3250, 5500, 5500 sport
• Nokia S60 2nd edition, feature pack 3: N70, N90
• Nokia S60 2nd edition, feature pack 2: 6630, 6680, 6681, 6682

Also The Flash Lite 2.1 player for Windows Mobile 5 and an update to the Flash 8 IDE are also available. Make sure that you install the player on top of the previous one and check my post on the Forum Nokia Champion blog on how the players live together and how to launch Flash Lite content using one player or the other.

Adobe released another big news about Handango will begin to sell Flash Lite content: “Join the Handango Content Partner Program and find out how easy it is for you to sell Flash Lite content and applications to millions of Handango customers today.”

Check Faisal post on the Self Signing and Launcher information. The other great news is the upcoming book from Richard, Scott and Weyert, Foundation Flash Applications for mobile Devices. It’s available for pre-order. The release should be around Christmas!

• Richard posted his slides and Flash Lite examples from his presentation at Flash on the Beach.
• RPC library for Flash Lite 2.x from Beam Jive.
• The Reuters Flash Lite 1.1 application is available for download from Reuters Lab site.
