In any case just select it, it's not a bad idea. the "protect from export” it's just a simple protection, I would set it. the "compress movie" depends how big and how much memory your app use. Since selecting compress movie increases the memory consumption since the FL player will make a copy in memory of the swf before playback. So if your app does use a lot of memory do not set the "compress movie" option otherwise it's ok.
