I was looking to create a Web RunTime and Flash Lite 2 demo to investigate this new technology from Nokia. So I created a Web RunTime and Flash Lite 2 MOSH application to browse the RSS feed of MOSH for the various categories. The application is still work in progress especially on the integration with WRT and navigation.
I used the W’d-get-it for Flash Lite tool from Samir, couple of things did not work but they will be fixed soon. The tool is very simple to use and it’s a great addition to the work flow.
So the application has the following categories from MOSH:
- Audio
- Graphics
- Applications
- Games
- Video
- Users
By selecting one of the categories an rss feed is loaded. By selecting one of the items in the list it will bring the user to the MOSH item mobile web page where you can download the content.
Couple of comments: the navigation of Flash Lite content within the WRT is similar to the web, so some thoughts about usability must be taken into account. The soft buttons seems not to be accessible to Flash Lite, still need more testing. Packing is interesting and very simple, need to test DRM and WRT.
Also some interesting tests could be to integrate SWX, Flash Lite and WRT.

I did not publish it on MOSH. I am looking into it since it use logos and such from MOSH there will be some legal things that need to be look at.
For now it’s a demo, need to fix few things and make it a bit better since I spent about 2 hours doing it. Also I am looking at doing a FL3 version. Will keep you posted.
